PVH strengthens its position in Romania as part of its Eastern European expansion

PVH Accelerates Eastern European Market Strategy with an Expanding Solar Project Pipeline

With more than 150 MW currently under supply in Romania and over 25 projects across Eastern Europe, PVH continues strengthening its position as one of the region’s leading solar tracker suppliers.

PV Hardware (PVH), a global manufacturer of solar trackers and photovoltaic structures, is reinforcing its position in Romania, where it is currently supplying more than 150 MW of solar trackers for utility-scale projects. This milestone forms part of the company’s broader expansion across Eastern Europe, where PVH has participated in more than 25 solar projects across five countries and built a regional pipeline exceeding 2 GW.

The renewable energy market in Eastern Europe has advanced significantly in recent years, propelled by growing environmental awareness, strict regulations, and the continuous reduction of generation costs. With a projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) exceeding 4.5%, the region offers a highly attractive environment for international companies with a strong technical and industrial track record.

Historically, hydroelectric power dominated the region’s energy mix, accounting for more than two-thirds of renewable capacity, partly due to legacy investments. Now, the scenario is changing. Diversification is accelerating as more countries opt to incorporate new sources, allowing both solar and wind energy to capture a much larger market share.

Photovoltaic energy has established itself as a key solution in several markets across the area. Poland and Romania currently lead the region’s utility-scale solar deployment, opening the door to new opportunities for developers and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firms.

“Romania has become one of the most strategic solar markets in Eastern Europe,” said Álvaro Casado, Global Head of Sales at PVH. “We have been present since the early stages of its growth, and today, our active projects demonstrate both our long-term commitment and our capability to deliver at scale. With more than 25 projects across the region, we are well positioned to support the next phase of Romania’s energy transition.”

PVH’s overall strategy focuses on international growth, with special attention to Europe. The company specializes in supplying solar trackers and structures developed specifically to respond to the technical needs of each project. By combining advanced manufacturing capabilities with deep regional knowledge, PVH provides developers and EPCs with the reliable local experience required to turn ambitious solar plans into successful, high-performing assets.
