At PVH we are very proud of all that we have achieved in the year that is coming to an end. In 2023, we have experienced extraordinary global growth and the milestones achieved reflect our leading position in the global solar energy industry. As we expand our operations worldwide, we are pleased to announce that we have surpassed the impressive figure of 28 GW delivered worldwide, consolidating our position as the third largest solar tracker manufacturer in the world.

This year has witnessed phenomenal growth for PVH, marked by a number of notable achievements that reflect our commitment to sustainability and our prominent position in the international renewable energy industry.

Institutional Commitment and Sustainable Development in Cheste

The year began with a significant milestone: the visit of the President of the Generalitat Valenciana to our factory in Cheste. This event not only symbolized the institutions endorsement of our vision of sustainability, but also the recognition of PVH as a key economic driver in the region. In addition, our collaboration with the Valencian government was recently consolidated in a meeting with Carlos Mazón in his office at the Palau de la Generalitat. During this cordial interview, Ivan Higueras and Carlos Lopez, CRO of PVH, presented to the President the plan to build in Cheste what would be the largest solar tracker factory in the world, reinforcing our role as leaders in the renewable industry in Spain.

Sustainable Growth in the Middle East

PVH Middle East has consolidated its presence in the Middle East as a Saudi Arabian company by opening a cuttin-edge factory in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Certification as a Saudi local content supplier reinforces our position as a key player in solar energy in the region. Solar energy is experiencing exponential growth in the area, especially in Saudi Arabia and Dubai, and PVH is present in the most important projects. Macro projects such as the Mohammed Bin Rashid solar park in Dubai, the 805 MW supplied for L&T at Ar Rass and the project that will power the world’s largest green hydrogen plant at NEOM, or Al Shuaibah, our greatest challenge in the Middle East, underscore our commitment to innovation and sustainability around the world.

In addition, PVH Middle East was honored to host the PVH Summit, a prestigious event held at the luxurious Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Jeddah, and organized in collaboration with Citi. The summit, entitled The Clean Energy Transition: KSA 2030 Challenges and Vision, brought together some of the most influential figures in the solar and renewable energy sector in the Middle East. The meeting marked a crucial moment on the road to a sustainable future in the region, shedding light on the pivotal role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in shaping the new global energy landscape.

6 GW Solar Tracker Factory in the U.S. 

A major highlight of 2023 for PVH was the opening of our new factory in Houston, Texas. This factory is the only privately-owned solar tracker facility in North America and marks a significant step in our global expansion. This facility is a testament to our commitment to the American market and our response to the growing demand for renewable energy solutions. 

In accordance with our vision for sustainable growth, PVH established a 6 GW solar tracker manufacturing site in the U.S. This plant, part of a wave of solar supply chain onshoring following the Inflation Reduction Act, showcases our dedication to enhance the U.S. solar infrastructure and support the nation’s renewable energy goals. 

The Houston solar tracker factory, our third wholly-owned tracker manufacturing plant, complements our existing facilities in Valencia, Spain, and Saudi Arabia, further strengthening our global presence. This expansion aligns with our strategy of global growth and commitment to providing top-tier solar energy solutions worldwide. 

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

In terms of product, PVH continues to outperform. The launch of our new logistics tracking application, Connect, provides our customers with unprecedented real-time visibility into their projects. In addition, the DBox5, our latest generation of controllers, redefines solar tracking with cutting-edge technology and a revolutionary design.

In addition, this year we have decided to focus on solar self-consumption with a new digital platform that will put customers and installers in contact with each other. PVHome will make available to both parties domestic solar energy kits with a wide range of products that can be adapted to the needs and conditions of any home. With this initiative we give Spanish households the possibility to produce and manage their own energy in a clean and sustainable way, all with the maximum quality of the PVH product.

Active Participation in COP28

As a finishing touch to our trajectory, our CFO Joaquín Lozano actively participated in the COP28 held in December in Dubai. Joaquín Lozano had the opportunity to participate in crucial discussions and meetings at the highest level that establish key connections in the sustainability sector. The agreement reached at the end of the conference marks a historic milestone in the global transition to renewable energy, and reflects PVH’s essential role in this transformation. Joaquin returned with a clear message: energizing the world with renewables is not impossible, it is just difficult, and PVH is proud to support this cause on a daily basis.

With the knowledge gained at COP28, Joaquín Lozano is ready to apply these lessons to strengthen PVH’s mission. The company’s strategies will be shaped to ensure a strong and sustainable future in the ever-changing landscape of global climate action.
