Lorna Charro is a dynamic and results-oriented professional with a wealth of experience in sales management, business development, and quality assurance within the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as Business Development Manager at PVH Australia, Lorna is instrumental in driving revenue growth and fostering long-term partnerships in the rapidly evolving solar energy industry. “Evolution is what thrives me in my day-to-day basis. I like to expand my knowledge, my connections, my responsibilities,” says Lorna.
With a strong foundation in quality assurance and project management, Lorna’s journey in the renewable energy sector began with a 200MW project in Queensland, where she quickly evolved as a Team Leader, managing a team of up to 8 people. Her dedication and expertise led her to progressively take on more challenging roles, jumping from installer to EPC, where she ensured the successful completion of a large-scale solar project and managed with her team the funding of the whole project.
After securing enough technical knowledge in the renewables space, Lorna came back to her original field and academic background, sales and business management, within the PVH team. Known for her strategic mindset, leadership abilities, and aptitude for building strong client relationships, Lorna describes her evolution in PVH as rapid and fulfilling. “My professional evolution is something really important for me, and I received strong support from PVH to upscale,” she stated. “Gransolar gave me the opportunity to speed up my career; my skills are always improving, and, most importantly, they are valued.”
Her quick rise represents well how fast she likes to go and think. Lorna’s passion and commitment to delivering innovative solutions make her more than capable of coping: “I like to go fast and straight to the point, and I don’t want to have time to get bored.”
