PV Hardware moves its North American headquarters to California
In order to be centrally located, we move our North American headquarters to Sacramento, California. This is the state where we began our journey in the photovoltaic sector and where we now house the new Demo Tracker Training Facility and Safe Harbor storage location. We currently have a pipeline of more than 2 GW throughout the United States with the majority of installations being on the West Coast.
This expansión, as indicated by our United States Country Manager, Kevin Allgood, “is the natural step to continue increasing our growth for the área of the country where we have had the greatest influence”. The new location will serve as both an office and a demonstration center. We will be making our entire catalog of solar trackers and fixed-tilt racking structures available to owners, utilities, installers, developers, IPPs and EPC contractors, who will be able to see first-hand the technology and advantages we offer in terms of assembly, efficiency and sustainability.
We are the third largest supplier of solar trackers and structures worlwide and strengthen our presence in one of the most solar active countries in the world today. According to the latest report published by the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA), the United States has more than two million projects and it is estimated that during this year it will increase its installed capacity by 42 GW, 13,5 GW being solar. It should also be noted that California is the state that has accumulated the most renewable energy, due in large part to the growth experienced in the solar + storage sector, which is rapidly diversifying in the state markets.
Benefits of change
Our new Demo Tracker Training facility in Sacramento, California is centrally located on the West Coast and close to a major airport making it easily accesible to installers from across the country. We will perform training clases for EPCs and installers who will be installing the large portfolio of projects we have across the United States. As well as installation training, we will also continue to educate its clients and partners on their latest innovations to improve energy production, installation speed and O&M.
With a huge portfolio of upcoming projects, we are planning long-term to expand our presence in California and North America. As we continue to grow and hire talented solar professionals to join the team, we are placing this California headquarters and future branch offices near upcoming projects and customer locations.
