- We end 2019 as the third largest supplier of solar trackers with 10% of the world market shipments. We have also positioned ourselves as the leader in the African market and are among the top three in Spain, Europe, the Middle East and Australia.
- Currently, we add more than 8 GW worldwide, strengthening our position as the company with the most extensive and complete product portfolio in the photovoltaic market.
We end 2019 as the third largest supplier of solar trackers worldwide for the second consecutive year, according to the annual Global solar PV tracker market share 2020 report published by Wood Mackenzie. Our international activity represents 10% of total shipments, and has increased in markets such as Africa, where we lead the way with 74% of total shipments, and reinforced in Europe, the United States, Australia and the Middle East, remaining in the top positions. In this way, we strengthen our position as one of the international references in the photovoltaic industry. Currently, we add 8 GW in projects spread over the five continents.
One of the markets in which our activity stands out is sub-Saharan Africa, where we have achieved 74% of total shipments, a figure that shows our absolute dominance in a geography with great renewable potential. Likewise, the United States is, once again, one of the leading markets for solar trackers in 2019, which has experienced 20% growth worldwide and where we have supplied for the first time a double-digit figure representing 10% of the total, reaching third position and placing itself as the company with the highest growth rate from one year to the next.
As Emilio García, our COO, explains, “this growth is supported by our production capacity, which is currently over 6 GW per year, as well as our logistic capacity, which reached 10% of the total shipments worldwide”.
Garcia is also “very proud of the work carried out by the whole company” and underlines “how complex it is to adapt to technological innovation, logistic regulations and the diversity of factors involved in a project with this level of constancy“.
We emphasize our ability to be at the technological forefront as one of the keys to ensuring the success of any photovoltaic project, as well as our experience in adapting to any regulatory and geographical regulations.
In this sense, García points out: “Part of our success is due to the diverse range of solar tracker solutions we offer. In addition to our three current designs, we will adding another one in the coming months, with which we hope to expand our influence in the industry“.
