PVH PRESENTS ITS NEW SOLAR TRACKER FACTORY IN THE UNITED STATES
18/09/2023
PVH has presented the strategic vision of its entry into the U.S. market, including the new solar tracker factory that the company has opened in Houston, TX. The pillars of PVH’s success are strong vertical integration and a 100% privately owned manufacturing process. This way the company controls its entire supply chain and can guarantee the highest quality across its entire product range, which includes custom-designed torque tubes and controllers.
“Having our own factories and guaranteeing high quality standards, short lead times and local economic support allows us to distinguish ourselves from our competitors,” says Carlos Lopez, CRO of PVH. “In the United States, we plan to start with a capacity of 6 GW to meet our customers’ expectations. Our goal is to become a key player in an energy transition in which photovoltaics will play a key role and its performance, we are sure, will largely depend on the development of solar trackers.”
International expertise and American manufacturing
The new Houston plant, inaugurated in September, will supply high-quality, U.S.-made solar trackers in accordance with domestic content requirements. With this, PVH now has private factories on three continents (Europe, Saudi Arabia and North America). With all three facilities in full production, the company will reach an impressive global manufacturing capacity of close to 30 GW/year.
Emilio Garcia, COO of PVH, is already settled in Houston to implement the company’s ambitious growth strategy in the coming months. “PVH is the only tracker manufacturer with three privately owned factories worldwide. Our 12GW factory in Houston, Texas, and PVH’s supporting logistics center will begin production and shipments in the coming months. PVH continues to provide the fastest lead times, a reliable supply chain and all shipments to the U.S.”
PVH presented the keys to its U.S. strategy at RE+, North America’s largest renewable energy event. The gathering, held in Las Vegas, provided the perfect platform for PVH to demonstrate its unwavering dedication to innovation, sustainability and excellence. With a total supply of more than 28 GW globally, PVH is the leading supplier of trackers in Europe, Australia and the Middle East, and is poised to take a pivotal role in the U.S. solar industry, underscoring its confidence in the future of renewable energy.
