PVH signs another 200MW project in Colombia and reaches 3GW in LATAM
24/04/2024
PVH is pleased to announce the recent signing of a strategic collaboration agreement with one of the fastest growing companies in the renewable energy industry worldwide. The latest project signed in Colombia will consist of a combined project to supply a 200.6 MW solar photovoltaic plant. With this new solar plant PVH exceeds 3GW supplied in Latin America, where it has outstanding customers and partners with whom it shares a commitment to sustainable development and the expansion of renewable energy in the region.
“We are very pleased to be able to be part of a new pioneering project in Colombia,” said Carlos Lopez, CRO of PVH. “This collaboration represents an important step forward in our expansion strategy in Latin America and underscores our continued commitment to the development of sustainable energy solutions in the region.”
Expansion strategy in the Americas with in-house manufacturing in the U.S.
The signing of this project comes at a crucial time for PVH due to the recent opening of its factory in Houston which, with a production capacity of 12GW per year, will supply all its projects in the Americas.
In this new solar plant, PVH will install the Monoline 2P model, equipped with the ProInsights SCADA system. This control system facilitates the operation and maintenance tasks in the field through continuous monitoring of the operation of the trackers in the plant. In parallel, plant scheduling virtually emulates TBox control units to maximize plant availability, thus ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
PVH expects to contribute significantly to the growth and development of renewable energies in Latin America and build a more sustainable and prosperous future for generations to come.
