PVH will supply its Axone Duo tracker at Europe’s largest PV power plant
We will supply our Axone Duo double-row solar tracker to the 590 MW Francisco Pizarro project, owned by Iberdrola Group. Located in Cáceres, the photovoltaic plant will become the largest in Europe once it comes into operation.
We have thus added another major project to our track record in a year that has been particularly complicated by the situation caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, to which we have diligently adapted our production processes from our headquarters in Valencia, where we already have three factories. The Francisco Pizarro plant will have an installation of 1,500,000 photovoltaic modules and 13,730 solar trackers.
In words of our COO, Emilio García: “Being the supplier of solar structures for the largest project in Europe is a success that reflects our work in the entire value chain of photovoltaic solar tracking“. We thank the Iberdrola group for their confidence in our experience, technology and professionalism. We continue to work to develop solutions that increasingly optimise our projects“.
Thanks to the technology that accompanies the modules, it is estimated that the installation will generate enough clean energy to cover the electricity demand of approximately 375,000 people per year, an amount equivalent to the populations of the cities of Cáceres and Badajoz. Furthermore, its production will prevent the emission of 245,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere.
